UK consumers could save L500m a month by simply switching to cheaper credit cards, says Datamonitor.

There is currently L30bn outstanding on credit cards in the UK. Only around 2 per cent of this debt is on credit cards charged at low or introductory rates of interest, leaving UK consumers paying L500m a month in interest when they don't need to.
