During the late 1970s, while I was a student of Joseph Wolpe at Temple University, I had the great fortune to be introduced to a number of icons in the field of psychoanalysis and psychotherapy. Among their ranks were Anna Freud, Albert Ellis, Peter Sifneos, and Viktor Frankl. Frankl was a frequent guest of Wolpe's during the grand seminars that were held at the now-defunct Eastern Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute in Philadelphia.
