Toledo, Lucas County get FAST grants to improve service

In an effort yo streamline the often difficult and time-consuming task of obtaining the proper permits, inspections and licenses needed for building projects, the state has issued another round of Facilities Approval Service Team (FAST) grants to the city of Toledo and Lucas County.

Donna Owens, Ohio's director of commerce and former Toledo mayor, was on hand at the University of Toledo to present the two checks for $25,000. The FAST program awarded $480,000 to 22 local governments in this round.
