Abstract

This article discusses the problems and successes encountered in implementing a Web-based registration and administration system for credit-by-examination in a required graduate course, detailing the ways in which this system improves upon its paper-based predecessor.

Paper-based registration and administration have been used at colleges and universities since their inception. However, paperwork requires manpower as well as time to process, and it is difficult to automate the information it contains.
