As the opera house undergoes a year's worth of renovations, Geneva's Grand Theatre has been forced "hors les murs," outside the walls, this season. One of the alternate venues is the BFM, an old factory built over the water, one end of which has been converted into a respectable small theater. To enter through the cavernous factory room, past the brightlypainted turbines, was to step into an informal, irreverent atmosphere perfectly appropriate to Prokofiev's opera buffa Betrothal in a Monastery.
