TRICOR
Micronized formulation of previously unmarketed triglyceride4owering agent A micronized formulation of fenofibrate capsules (Tricor, manufactured for Abbott Laboratories by Laboratoires Fournier, SA) has been approved as an adjunct to diet for the treatment of adults with very high elevations of serum triglyceride levels (type IV or V hyperlipidemia) who are at risk of pancreatitis and do not respond adequately to dietary therapy. The nonmicronized formulation of fenofibrate was previously approved but not marketed in the United States.
