Summary. Pogastemon globulosus (Doan) W. Chuakul comb. nov. is reported for the first time in Thailand with a full description.
The genus Pogostemon Desf. comprises about 60 species, when combined with the genus Dysophylla Blume, which includes about 30 species from warm regions of the Old World (McVaugh 1974). There are about 50 species of Pogostemon Desf. distributed throughout Southeast Asia to China and Japan, southwards through the whole of Malesia; one extends to Australia (Keng 1978). 17 species of Dysophylla Blume and 25 species of Pogostemon Desf. are reported from India (Hooker ...
