If you're lactose intolerant or prefer items from health-food stores, goat's milk may be on your shopping list.

"A lot of health-conscious people look for raw goat's milk rather than cow's milk," explained Deneise Goss. She and husband, Richard Goss, own Red Gate Farm in Palmyra, a farm with approximately 40 does (female goats).

Jim Dell, a spokesman for the Food Safety Division of the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, indicated that goat's milk differs from cow's milk in the percentage of lactose and fat.
