A primer on suface and solid modeling and machining issues in the mold shop

These days when a shop gets a job g to quote, it's more likely to come in as an electronic file than a blueprint, so you need to read that file accurately and fast. Though the customer's CAD system usually creates the parts, CAM systems generate the NC operations that make them, so communication between the two is crucial.
