As a student at the University of Kentucky, Bill Godfrey and some friends established a new company, Personal Computer Technologies. They built and sold computers to businesses and college students, paying their way through college.

After obtaining bachelor's and master's degrees from Kentucky in mechanical engineering, Godfrey headed to the University of Notre Dame for an MBA.
