Vietnam: Ho Chi Minh City less powerful at drawing foreign capital

A crisis atmosphere has prevailed in Ho Chi Minh City because of the lowering of the city's power to attract foreign capital.
The number of by foreign investment projects in January-August 2002 totaled 158 projects and the value of total investments was US$179 million. The average value of investment per project fell from US$3.4 million last year to US$1.13 million this year. The number of projects with an investment value of less than US$1 million was 119 projects.
