New building may trigger more research park action

If all had gone according to plan, bulldozers and backhoes would have gathered at Louisiana State University's "CAMD" site this spring to begin churning up 109 acres at the corner on Jefferson Highway near Corporate Boulevard.

Ground was to be broken for the infrastructure of a high-tech research park encircling the Center for Advanced Microstructures and Device--a research park that some say eventually will bring millions, perhaps billions, of dollars to Baton Rouge.
