GOV. RITTER ORDERS LOWERING OF FLAGS UNTIL VETERANS DAY

DENVER, Nov. 6 -- Gov. Bill Ritter, D-Colo., has issued the following news release:

To follow suit with today's Presidential directive, Governor Bill Ritter today ordered that both the United States flag and Colorado state flag be lowered on all public buildings throughout Colorado immediately, and to stay lowered until sunset on Tuesday, November 10, to honor the memory of those who gave their lives during yesterday's Fort Hood tragedy.

Gov. Ritter issued this statement yesterday in commemoration of the victims:
