GENEVA, Oct. 12 -- Xinkan Ding, China, has developed the use of mercurid in formulating antiviral medicine.

According to an abstract posted by the World Intellectual Property Organization, the invention explains the "use of a mercurid in formulating antiviral medicine. The mercurid is one of those: mercuric sulfide, mercuric bromide, mercuric oxide, mercuric sulfate, mercuric chloride etc."
