Ebony Magazine Persists in Ignoring the Importance of Black Scholars

In past years very few educators or scholars made Ebony magazine's list of the 100 most influential African Americans. Now that the annual list has been expanded to 150 people, some black scholars are included. But there are nearly three times as many black entertainers on the list as there are black educators and public intellectuals.
