CARSON CITY, Nev., July 20 -- The Nevada Department of Cultural Affairs issued the following news release:

The Nevada Arts Council approved grant awards totaling $500,867 in support of statewide arts and cultural activities and arts education for fiscal year 2010. Carson City area arts organizations received more than $15,000 in Arts Education Program grants and more than $40,000 in Grant Program awards.
