Auch back for speed skating celebration

SUSAN AUCH, who competed in five Olympic Games, earning two silver medals and one bronze, will be in Winnipeg Feb. 25-27 as a special guest to help celebrate the Manitoba Speed Skating Association's 90th anniversary of Winnipeg School Division Skating Races.

At age nine Auch, like other Manitoba Olympians and world champions such as Sylvia Burka, Cindy Klassen and Clara Hughes, began her Olympic odyssey on the outdoor oval that now bears her name -- the Susan Auch Oval at the the Cindy Klassen Recreation Centre.
