VERMONT KICKS-OFF LAKE CHAMPLAIN QUADRICENTENNIAL ON NEW YEAR'S EVE

The Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing issued the following news release:
Vermont will commemorate the 400th anniversary of Samuel de Champlain's exploration of the lake that bears his name with a variety of special events, programs and exhibits that will kick-off Dec. 31 in Burlington.
The Lake Champlain Quadricentennial will be a year-long event beginning at First Night Burlington, an annual Festival of the Arts that will include performances, music, children's activities, and parade at 6 p.m. on Church Street with the theme "400 Years Together: The Land, The Lake…
