SEN. REED ANNOUNCES $740,000 IN FEDERAL FUNDING FOR HISTORIC PRESERVATION

The office of Sen. Jack Reed, D-R.I., issued the following news release:
In an effort to preserve Rhode Island's history and cultural heritage, U.S. Senator Jack Reed (D-RI), a member of the Appropriations Committee, today announced that two Rhode Island organizations will receive over $700,000 in 2008 Save America's Treasures Grants. The grants are awarded through a competitive process and require a dollar-for-dollar non-federal match.
