William Penn University Receives Gift To Establish New Faculty Chair

William Penn College issued the following news release:

William Penn University has received a generous gift from Dr. Ercil Beane to establish a faculty chair entitled "Ercil Victor and Maxine Hoover Beane Chair of the New Philosophy with Innate Quaker Values." The university received the gift shortly before Dr. Beane passed away in October; he was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine, who passed away last winter. The couple maintained a friendship with the university for many years and showed much interest and support of the happenings at Penn.
