Tom McKillop, chief executive of AstraZeneca, and Barry Furr, chief scientist and head of project evaluation also at AstraZeneca, have been elected fellows of the Academy of Medical Sciences, a society established in 1998 to act as an authoritative body to promote medical science across traditional disciplinary boundaries.
