The National Park Foundation issued the following news release:
In honor of Thanksgiving, and the first President to declare it a national holiday, the National Park Foundation (NPF) and the National Trust for Historic Preservation (NTHP) joined History today in Hodgenville, KY to celebrate Lincoln's legacy and unveil GIVE A LINCOLN FOR LINCOLN -- a year-long initiative by History to encourage Americans to donate Lincoln-head pennies, five dollar bills, or make larger contributions to help preserve six key sites associated with Lincoln's life and legacy.
