WIPO: Inventors in Switzerland, France Develop Diphenyl Urea Derivatives

GENEVA, Nov. 13 - Ralf Loewe of Arlesheim, Switzerland, Sergio Lociuro of Reinach, Switzerland, Stephen Hawser of St. Louis, France, and Laurent Schmitt of Village Neuf, France, have developed derivatives of diphenyl urea.

According to an abstract posted by the World Intellectual Property Organization, the invention relates to "novel specifically trifluoromethyl and halogen substituted 1 ,3- diphenyl ureas and their use as active ingredients in the preparation of pharmaceutical compositions."

The invention carries International Patent Publication No. WO/2007/068394 on Sept. 25.
