HPV vaccination looks attractive in developing countries

Cervical cancer is a "tragic example of inequality in global health", says Sue J Goldie from Harvard School of Public Health, US, and colleagues.1 Although the risk of genital infection with high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV) types is high in both rich and poor countries, the risk of dying from cervical cancer is "disproportionately borne by women in developing countries", they add.
