The thermodynamic properties and associated phase equilibria for the Al-Sm binary system are examined, and experimental results regarding the stability of the Al^sub 3^Sm, Al^sub 11^Sm^sub 3^, and Al^sub 4^Sm intermetallics are incorporated.
