The city of Joplin issued the following news release:

The Joplin Public Library recently announced its activities in July. Below is a listing of the events. For more information, contact the Library staff at 623-2184 or visit http://www.joplinpubliclibrary.org .

Monday, July 7 Joplin: Family Speaker: Discovery Center, 2:00 and 3:30 pm, Joplin Public Library, children of all ages welcome, however, anyone under 6 years must be accompanied by an adult. Featuring a storybook science lesson using Eric Carle's The Very Hungry Caterpillar to explore the world of insects. Details: (417) 623-2184.
