OREGON STRAWBERRY INDUSTRY LOOKS TO BOUNCE BACK

The Oregon Department of Agriculture issued the following news release:
In a best case scenario set five years from now, Oregon's strawberry industry will have reversed the trend of declining production by creating stronger consumer demand and grower profits. The road to such a future is lined with obstacles, but there is a new sense of optimism this spring as berries ripen in the fields. A consortium of interested parties, ranging from producers to processors to retailers, is identifying reachable goals to help restore the Oregon strawberry to some of its past glory.
