GOVERNOR SIGNS BILLS INCLUDING CASTLE DOCTRINE, BILL TO FUND MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES FOR VETERANS

Gov. Dave Freudenthal, D-Wyo., issued the following news release:

In adding his signature to House Bill 137 (HEA 59) today, legislation commonly known as the castle doctrine, Gov. Dave Freudenthal said he initially had reservations about the bill's reach beyond the boundaries of the 'castle.'

"I was troubled as it came out of the House because it went outside the castle," the Governor said during the 9:30 a.m. formal signing ceremony.
