Who said ice cream and winter don't mix?
Ice cream tastes just as good in the winter as it does in July, said 86-year-old Oscar Peterslie as he stood behind the counter of Pearl Ice Cream Parlor and Confectionary.
"Why wouldn't people eat ice cream in the winter? There isn't a finer dessert," he said. "It makes the day warmer to have an ice cream cone when the temperature outside is in the lower digits."
In fact, the parlor has some creamy blends that are cold-season specialties.
The same is true at Coldstone Creamery, where flavors such as pumpkin and candy cane that are "made fresh daily" ...
