THE best thing about my job -- other than the fact I can write in my underwear while eating Cap'n Crunch directly from the box -- is that every once in a while I'm given the opportunity to educate readers about how our planet is being put in peril by barnyard animals, specifically cows.
To be truthful, even I was not fully aware of the extent of this global threat until last week when I stumbled across an Associated Press story with the provocative headline: Swedish scientists study burping cows.
