Striped bass seem to be waking up throughout the area. They are almost all middleweights in the 15- to 20-pound range, and they are being caught from Long Beach Island to Delaware Bay.

The run seemed to start Sunday in the Brigantine area and had spread to Delaware Bay off the Maurice River by Tuesday.
