The Wyoming Department of Education issued the following news release:

Wyoming joined 32 other states on October 1, 2007, when the C.S. Mott Foundation accepted the Wyoming Afterschool Alliance (WYAA) proposal to become a statewide afterschool network.

The national alliance brings together statewide afterschool networks in their collective mission to build partnerships and policies that are committed to the development and sustainability of quality afterschool programs. The network is focused around the following goals:
