BERKELEY, Calif.: Ichthyologist, Animal Behaviorist George Barlow Has Died

The University of California at Berkeley issued the following press release:
Animal behaviorist and evolutionary biologist George W. Barlow, a professor emeritus of integrative biology at the University of California, Berkeley, and a well-known expert on cichlid fishes, died July 14 at the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula after a massive stroke. Barlow, a resident of Berkeley, was 78.
