The United Nations issued the following press release:

The Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) this afternoon adopted a number of decisions and resolutions on the living conditions of the Palestinian people in the occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and the Arab population in the occupied Syrian Golan; granting of independence to colonial countries and peoples; and social development, including new partnerships for Africa's development, among others.
