ARCHEOLOGICAL PERSPECTIVES ON THE LOCALIZATION OF NARAM-SIN'S ARMANUM

One of the proudest achievements of the Akkadian king Naram-Sin was the conquest of Armanum and EbIa.1 These events are described in an Old Babylonian copy of an inscription on a monument erected in the city of Ur (UETl 275 = U 7756, IM 85461):
