Departing from Vienna at midday on 24 May 2007, Russian President Putin missed the triumph of Russian conductor Valery Gergiev in the evening. Gergiev inspired the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra to a brilliant performance at the "Concert for Europe" (free admission) at Schönbrunn Palace.
