Tuckerton sixth-graders try hand at making borough work

TUCKERTON - Sixth-grade students from Tuckerton Elementary School received a first-hand lesson on how municipal government works - and doesn't work in some cases - during the borough's 30th annual Student Government Day on Wednesday morning.

Leading the 38 students in a one-on-one tour of their respective jobs were almost every borough official from Public Works Supervisor Bob Hewitt to Mayor Lee Eggert and Police Chief Charles Robinson to borough attorney Christopher J. Connors, who is also a 9th District Assemblyman.
