MORE than 4,000 medical textbooks worth more than $1 million are en route to Afghanistan, after nearly two years of collecting dust in a university storage room.
University of Manitoba's Books With Wings project was revived early last week when a military ship bound for the war-torn country agreed to transport the modern medicine books.
