ADVANCE polls closed Saturday night and Elections Manitoba officials said they expect the turnout to be double of previous years.

Mary Skanderbeg, manager of operations and communications with Elections Manitoba, said it's expected that the total number of people who voted during the past week will total 37,000 -- more than double the 18,000 who voted in the last provincial election.
