Japanese Inventors Develop Non-Polarization Light Source Device, Raman Amplifier

ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 21 -- Toshiyuki Tokura, Taichi Kogure, Takashi Sugihara and Kuniaki Motoshima, all from Tokyo, have developed a non-polarization light source device and Raman amplifier.
According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A laser light source outputs a virtually linearly-polarized light beam that has plural mode components arranged at an interval of an almost equal angular frequency."
