Brown University issued the following press release:
Brown University has appointed Ricardo Lagos Escobar, former president of the Republic of Chile, to a five-year term as professor-at-large, based in the University's Thomas J. Watson Jr. Institute for International Studies. His appointment begins July 1, 2007.
