COMMUNITY Living Manitoba is going forward with a human rights complaint against the Manitoba government over a dispute about the future of the Manitoba Developmental Centre.

The group filed its latest response in the case with the Manitoba Human Rights Commission Friday, and hopes the case will proceed quickly to an arbitration hearing.

Community Living Manitoba wants the province to close the facility in Portage la Prairie for people with intellectual disabilities and move the 368 residents living there into assisted living in community housing.
