WASHINGTON, April 11 -- Rep. Stephen F. Lynch, D-Massachusetts, has introduced the Liver Research Enhancement Act of 2007 (H.R. 1743), legislation that would "establish the National Center on Liver Disease Research."

The bill, introduced on March 28, was co-sponsored by Reps. Pete King, R-New York; Thaddeus McCotter, R-Michigan; Raul M. Grijalva, D-Arizona; John Olver, D-Massachusetts; and Michael McNulty, D-New York. It was referred to the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
