In Hell, CBC is the only channel

THE other night, I was watching the CBC television news -- that defining icon of Canadian Culture -- when the thought popped into my head, as thoughts occasionally do, that they must have the CBC in Hell because as sure as heck they would not have it Heaven. People are supposed to be happy with everything in Heaven.
I can't remember now what particular news item brought on this inspiration. It might have been CBC Washington correspondent Neil Macdonald smugly reporting -- once again -- America's latest problems in Iraq or the travails U.S. President George W. Bush is experiencing ...
