U.N. FOOD,AGRICULTURE ORGANIZATION (FAO) CALL ON COUNTRIES IN NORTHEAST AFRICA TO INTENSIFY SURVEY, CONTROL OPERATIONS

The United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization issued the following news release:
In a new offensive against the desert locust, the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) today called on countries in northeast Africa to intensify survey and control operations, particularly on the Red Sea coast of Eritrea and Sudan and in northwest Somalia.
