Kinship Caregiver Support Act Introduced in Senate by Sen. Reid

WASHINGTON, Mar. 7 -- Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nevada, has introduced the Kinship Caregiver Support Act (S. 661), legislation that would "establish kinship navigator programs, to establish kinship guardianship assistance payments for children."

The bill, introduced on Feb. 16, was co-sponsored by Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-New York; Olympia J. Snowe, R-Maine; and Thad Cochran, R-Mississippi. It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
