French Inventors Develop Oestradiol Nasal Delivery Composition

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 28 -- Gilles Fonknechten and Patrick Wuthrich, both of Orleans, France, Yannis Tsouderos of Paris, and Claire Varin of Le Vesinet, France, have developed a pharmaceutical composition for administration by the nasal route of 17-beta-oestradiol and norethisterone, the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office announced.

The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,182,960 on Feb. 27.

The patent has been assigned to Les Laboratoires Servier, Courbevoie Cedex, France. The original application was filed on July 18, 2002, and is available at: ...
