The Indiana Department of Natural Resources issued the following news release:

Indiana and Michigan Department of Natural Resources officials will seek public comment on the development of a habitat conservation plan (HCP) for the federally endangered Mitchell's satyr butterfly during public meetings in early March.

The Mitchell's satyr lives in fens or localized wetlands habitats with a mix of herbaceous and woody plants in southern Michigan and northern Indiana. Many of these fens have been drained or otherwise degraded in recent decades. The resulting loss of habitat has imperiled this ...
