ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 30 -- Alan M Fogelman of Beverly Hills, Calif., Gattadahalli M Anantharamaiah of Birmingham, Calif., and Mohamad Navab of Los Angeles, have developed a method of stimulating the formation and cycling of pre-beta high density lipoprotein-like particles in a mammal.

According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "This invention provides novel peptides that ameliorate one or more symptoms of atherosclerosis.
