A new study has found that while Prairie rivers are facing declining flows, the Winnipeg River's flow has increased by the equivalent of more than half in the last 82 years.
That's good news for Manitoba Hydro.
Scott St. George, of the Geological Survey of Canada, said his study, published this month in the internationally distributed Journal of Hydrology, shows the flow in the Winnipeg River system has increased by 58 per cent since 1924.
